Banks seems fascinated by secret organisations. But this is a brilliant book based on the premise that special people can transit between parallel worlds.
Suspenseful climax, but I felt the end was disappointing - perhaps I wanted more.
Great vehicle for expounding some big ideas though - dealing with terrorism, is torture ever justified, capitalism
