I have had a souring relationship with Christmas and wanted to see if there was a small secular celebration I could do for myself around the solstice; maybe light a fire and drink a certain tea or something. What this book actually provided was a lot of really sensible advice about living with the seasons including things like preparing your garden and the basics of darning socks or why you should try canning.
