For those who are fans of cooking, and cookbooks this is a great 'behind the scenes' look at how one of the most iconic cookbooks started and came into existence. For me this also presented an interesting view of the times and what was happening politically during these years. While Julia Child is the face and representation, there was so much work put in by her partners into making a cookbook that not only set the precedent and lead with what a cookbook should be, but also developed Julia for her eventual leap into television and setting the standard there for cooking on television. A fun read.
