Review of 'Emperor Mollusk versus The Sinister Brain' on 'Goodreads'

Okay.

BORED NOW!

I made it about one and a half hours into this audiobook. One and a half hours which was 95% same two characters arguing and 5% action. I'm sure all that arguing is supposed to be 'witty banter' but it's neither witty nor banter-y. It nothing more than one person (Zala) bickering and the other person (Mollusk) ignoring it in an arrogant way.

This may be a really short book, actually, but my life is just too short for this.

I don't know why I keep putting off reading A. Lee Martinez, I grabbed this one after Narrator Scott Aiello said it was his first and a favorite and described the process he went through to use the British accent for the part.

Scotts performance was great.
Martinez Book was fantasic,

OK 5 stars is a bit much but this is the best [a:A. Lee Martinez|63669|A. Lee Martinez|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nophoto/nophoto-M-50x66.jpg] book I've read so far.

I'm giving it 4.5 stars.

Think of the alien from Monsters vs Aliens.
A slightly more competent (and well more grown up) version of him is the main character.

Martinez makes the evil genius alien into his main character and he balances him with a Star Trek security chief type companion.

This was a very good laugh during a stressful week.
