Good Story - Just Not for Me

This book took me over a week to read because I just wasn’t that into it. The plot is good, I think I struggled with the emphasis on the love story. The excitement and treasure hunting was overshadowed by it. Overall it was just okay, glad I read it but won’t be rereading it.

What is there to say about another Christina Lauren book, except that it was fabulous? The authors mixed adventure, a second chance love story, and a heist (of sorts). The protagonists were both a little damaged, but not completely broken. Lovely, lovely story.

this is not a rom com and even if I felt engaged with the story I would have needed some trigger warning. I am sorry as I loved previous books, but this one was difficult to read.
