Sorry, but I don't find the world building in this series believable or interesting. All borrowed tropes assembled inexpertly and without understanding how mindbogglingly big the universe is or how energy demanding planet-to-space-to-planet travel is. Which would be forgiveable if it was properly handwaved away, but here there's hints of explanation that just don't fit together right.
Add to that ... No, I'm just going to say this is not a series for me.
