Our protagonist is a Mary Sue. It's not interesting. There is an incredible amount of telling over showing. Like really, I can't believe I had to read that with my own eyes, from an author who supposedly has had a lot of practice in writing. The science fiction settings seems to be used just for flavour and no ideas or worldbuilding is explored in any way. It did read pretty easily tho.
