Review of 'THE DOOR TO DECEMBER / Dean Koontz.' on 'Goodreads'

Typical Koontz which is good, sometimes intense, and quite often "out there" with something supernatural or particularly shifted to an extreme.
I normally can't figure how a character is going to get out of a situation or what could possibly happen to make things right, Koontz is crafty, but this title was predictable early on.
A couple things in the book really date it such as the two full ashtrays in the cafeteria in the Pediatric wing of the hospital which is not possible in America anymore. Also the sharp dressed bodyguard in the THREE PIECE SUIT which no one dares to wear these days. There were no cell phones in this book. Our main detective left a business card with the office phone number written on the front, a secondary office number and his home number written on back so that the damsel in distress could be sure to …
