Stuart Woodward reviewed Sex Cult Nun by Faith Jones
Review of 'Sex Cult Nun' on 'Goodreads'
Wow. What an amazing and horrifying story!
As many others have said, the word "NUN" in the title makes no sense. "SURVIVOR" would have been a better name.
I have read quite a few books by cult survivors but the Children of God were/are(?) although they were one of the most messed up cults they were almost the most close to the kind of Christian church group that they claimed to be. The key differences are:
1) that the members could only learn about the interpretation of the bible from their own materials
2) their "prophets" can make up rules based on whatever god told them even if it contradicts what they said before.
3) Oh yeah and free sex with literally everyone.
The big realization though was "why are cults so bad?" the answer is because being so bad people feel are just can't leave because they become pariahs …

The big realization though was "why are cults so bad?" the answer is because being so bad people feel are just can't leave because they become pariahs from being associated with cult. Faith Jones hid her association with the cult without giving it away for many years.
I don't think it is a spoiler but in case you are wondering she comes out of it alive and very successful. A testament to human resilience.
