This had potential. Dead wife had the foresight to write letters to her husband for him to open on specific days in the first year following her death. The author should've kept it simple and stopped here. Instead, the letters were used to craft a mystery, eventually revealing a secret carried to the grave. That, too, could be fine - if it didn't feel like a soap opera writer was drafted to pull as much wacky shit as possible into the revelation of the secret.
Adding to my frustration, I listened to this as an audiobook and while the narrator had a good voice, he sounded patronizing. Just nope.
