This was and excellent and emotionally stirring set of short stories centered around a young adolescent named Jody who lived on a Californian ranch. While I found the first and third stories the most riveting, the other two were very unique and captivating tales of ranch life. Highly recommended!
The was the first "adult" book that I read as an elementary school kid, and I didn't fully understand all that I was reading, except it just made me incredibly sad.
