Much better than Aftermath, the story is a "Lower Decks" tale of star-crossed lovers in the Imperial Starfleet and the Rebellion that shadows the events of the original trilogy, Zelig-style, plus it describes the post-Endor battle that resulted in all that crashed military hardware on Jakku in Episode VII.
