If you're already a fan of Ms. Bishop, you've probably already read it. If not, this novel is a good fantasy read.

Like Daughter of the Blood, The Pillars of the World has a slow start. The back cover talks about Ari, but the novel begins with the Fae and a conversation between Lyrra the Muse, Aiden the Bard, and Dianna the Huntress on the core plot of the novel. Why are parts of the Fae World, Tir Alain, disappearing? Then we meet Adolfo, the Master Inquisitor and learn of his hand in the mystery in the novel.

Finally, we meet Ari in Chapter Three, who is a witch and human, even though the leader on the back cover has the reader believing she is Fae. The novel revolves around her and her lot in life. A seventeen year old witch, whose mother and grandmother both died in the last …
