When a man performs a dangerous, symbolic act on the mountain known as the Citadel, a Vatican-like city-state that towers above the city of Ruin in contemporary Turkey, a deadly chain of events is set in motion that could destroy the certainties of modern life.

Sanctus - the first step in a seemingly great series

4 stars

Very much enjoyed the books theory on what the sanctified relic actually was. Already reading the next book “the key” and find that the writing and flow has improved substantially which is usually not the case for a second in series. Have bought book three to read next. I would put this book into the adventure, mystery, strong females and mentions of biblical categories.
