Fire And Hemlock

This is probably the sixth or seventh time I've read this book, starting as a child. It's messy and perfect and very clear about people and feelings and relationships and what it means to share stories with someone you care about, and every time I think, "This time I'll follow what happens at the end!" and I never do. Maybe the characters are able to succeed by passing beyond where the reader can understand enough to follow them.
