Ingenious shows the struggle of a few American inventors and engineers participating in the X-Prize to make a fuel-efficient car that could be mass produced. It was a nice enough read, and a very interesting topic, and it's also easy to read and you want to know how it ends.

* But mostly I'm pretty horrified but the hero-worshiping thrown onto these inventors. I just don't like how working incredibly long hours, sacrificing their life is seen as a heroic thing, and especially not how they neglect their families. That's not heroic, it's sad. And how the people working on these cars are portrayed as the hero, and their wifes as the nagging annoyance, I just can't stand that. It's an antiquated narrative, and one strictly from the privileged white dude perspective. Therefore it's also boring. It made me nearly not finish the book a few times.
