I think he lost it.

They thought he was dead, but Magneto was only hiding, waiting for a chance to make his move against the Xavier and the team that had twarted his plans again and again. Now, the X-Men must survive his latest attack and somehow prevent his planned genocide of the entire human race.

I think he lost it.
Borrowed it from my local branch of the public library. While I usually try to read series like this in order, when borrowing from the public library, that is not always possible. Titles like these tend to be very popular, thus not always available when one wants them. Though I can request them, the requests don't always arrive in order.
