Wholesome St. Augustine story

So, at first, I struggled to really read the book because I felt that it didn't really pick up until the tail end, after I was 2/3rds through the book. I got bored a LOT, which sucks to feel when reading what was still a pretty good book! I give it the rating I have given it because 1) it's a children's book, so I won't be too harsh 2) In the end, this story had several heart warming lines and a message, which made me nearly cry. This book healed a special part of me - the part of me that is a little black-latine girl who didn't get books like these as a child. I really would love to see this as an animated series, to be quite honest. Here's to hoping it's in the cards!
