I always kinda thought of him as being this dumb muscle guy, but wow, he accomplished a lot through hard work and being smart about it.
It's inspiring how he keeps reinventing himself: first as a body builder, then a movie star, then a real estate investor and then governor of California.

Learning about early youth I found most interesting, hearing the stories about growing up in a post WW2 Austria.

“There are no shortcuts—everything is reps, reps, reps.”
― Arnold Schwarzenegger, Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story

His method of success isn't mine. I like to keep things fresh and keep learning new things besides doing the same reps all the time. But I do appreciate his grid and will try to tap into that the next time things become challenging.

Leseempfehlung. Ganz klar.

It kept my interest for the whole 650 pages. What I appreciated most was how Arnold approaches his life with a clear goal and a positivity that is carried through the entire book. He's thanking and praising everyone and always turning a problem into a personal challenge.

It was fascinating to see the 'side deals' he mentions such as real estate in Santa Monica. He talks about his payments as a lead actor in various films. I didnt know his wife was part of the Kennedy political family. The child with his housecleaner is mentioned over about 4 pages near the very end. He states plainly at one point that Maria has separated from him but he'd like to be back …
