There are some books that you just don't touch. Retelling Little Women is just something you don't do. Todd did do a good job of keeping Jo Jo, but she did so much with this book that I just don't like. Meg isn't a whore that is involved in a love triangle, and Beth isn't supposed to be portrayed as a Lesbian. I have absolutely no issues at all with that lifestyle of course, but I didn't want all that to happen. Meredith, or Mrs. Spring ends up being rather an alcoholic, and the father Frank ends up coming home from war disabled. I just tried with this book, and as fell so flat.
