Review of 'The First Sister' on 'Storygraph'

4 stars

Slow to start, with a few main characters who are annoying in their naiveté and two warring societies are that equally dystopian in their own way, but it builds to a good twist ending I didn't even see coming. Also some great non-binary, bi/pan, and disabled representation. I am definitely interested to find out what comes next.

Review of 'The First Sister' on 'Goodreads'

After a worrisome start, this novel became very interesting, fast paced, as well as 'novel'. As a fan of space operas, this tale meanders into a few 'new regions (places)'. Thematically, there is a lot of psychology involved in the characters; gender bending is also rather uniquely 'tackled'.

If you are a hyper-right wing leaning person (politically speaking) this is probably not for you. But otherwise, I highly recommend the read... just be certain to get past the first 50 pages.
