Review of 'For Your Own Good' on 'Goodreads'

What a bunch of shit..
I hated Teddy and I didn't find him or his perspective interesting at all. Everything else was tedious and stupid as well. The novel was nothing like the synopsis made it sound. No suspense, no interesting chatacters, not the dark academia vibe I craved so badly
The author seems to know nothing of private schools or psychopaths.
The whole plot was unbelievable at best..

2.5 stars, rounded to 3. I tried to read one of Samantha Downing's other books (My Lovely Wife) and couldn't finish because it was just too over the top with evil characters who had nothing to redeem them. This book had a similar flaw, but I found it easier to overlook because I'm a sucker for books set at private schools, and I'm more forgiving of YA fiction in general. (And I assume this was YA?)
