A New Dawn (Star Wars)

This was a good introduction to two beloved characters from Star Wars: Rebels. This story follows the initial meeting of Kanan Jarrus & Hera Syndulla. Their rebellious conviction, much like their connection, is in its infancy so we get to go along for the wild ride. Introducing yet another despicable villain along with two unlikely heroes who side with our main characters, this addition to the Star Wars universe was intense, emotional and, at times, frustrating...just the way I like my Star Wars stories.

While I definitely watched and like the Rebels show, I wasn't sure if I really wanted to listen to a story about how Kanan and Hera met - but I'm glad I did. Definitely liked it - knowing how the show ended had certain things pop out at me that they probably wouldn't have before. But also simply liked seeing Kanan re-embrace the Jedi mantle was a nice journey on its own.

Hera and Kanan get a novel-length meet-cute and I am all about that shiz.
