Disclaimer: I listened to this on audio and there are lots of different narrators. I won't go into detail on them but take my reviews with a grain of salt. It might be that I like some stories more than others because I prefer some narrators over others.
Overall, I must say that I wouldn't recommend this collection to anyone. If you're a fan of Miss Marple you had better stick to the original works by Agatha Christie. If you, like me, have already read everything from the Marple series, maybe consider a reread instead.
1) Evil in Small Places by Lucy Foley: 2.5 ☆
This didn't have the charm of an original Marple story by Agatha Christie. It felt more like a caricature of the source material than a homage.
2) The Second Murder at the Vicarage by Val McDermid 4.5 ☆

Murder at the Vicarage is the book that sparked my love for Agatha Christie and Miss Marple. This story was very well executed. If I hadn't known it was written by Val McDermid I could've mistaken it for a Christie.
3) Miss Marple Takes Manhattan by Alyssa Cole 2 ☆
The mystery was ridiculous and all the characters felt off. I also don't think that Miss Marple thrives in an American setting.
4) The Unraveling by Natalie Haynes 4 ☆
A classic Miss Marple story true to the original.
5) Miss Marple's Christmas by Ruth Ware 3.5 ☆
Nice enough but, alas, not very festive.
6) The Open Mind by Naomi Alderman 3 ☆
The plot would've suited Poirot better than Marple
7) The Jade Empress by Jean Kwok 3 ☆
Mediocre.
8) A Deadly Wedding Day by Dreda Say Mitchell 2 ☆
Representation matters. But an immigrant story doesn't fit very well with Miss Marple. Especially in the later stories, it felt like she had kind of backwards views (correct me if I'm wrong).
The short story itself was fine.
9) Murder at the Villa Rosa by Elly Griffith 3 ☆
The story didn't really hold my attention. The writing was very Christie-esque, though.
10) The Murdering Sort by Karen M. McManus 3.5 ☆
Miss Marple must be around 100 in this story. Apart from that it was a breath of fresh air. Miss Marple's great niece solves the case in this one. Very teenage, a typical McManus YA mystery.
11) The Mystery of the Acid Soil by Kate Moss 2 ☆
Two days later and I forgot the whole plot already.
12) The Disappearance by Leigh Bardugo 2,5 ☆
This story bored me immensely. (Leigh Bardugo is a very overrated writer in my opinion.)
