Review of 'Murder at Merisham Lodge : Miss Hart and Miss Hunter Investigate' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
I got a real kick out of this book. But it was also instructive on many levels, primarily, I'm not British, and I didn't realize the true difference between the landed wealthy people and the normal folk and/or the servants (no, I did not watch "Upstairs Downstairs or that other one that is more common now!). I did not like the fact that the fact that it's part of a series was ';o important at the end: there was an open question that I suspect will probably be answered in a future book (well, I at least hope so) but the characters were likable and complete, and I look forward to reading more in the series!
