Review of 'Murder Past Due' on 'Goodreads'

This tale falls into my 'eye candy' / 'guilty pleasure' groupings. It is well written, fast paced, surprising and fun. The characters are nicely 'flawed' and engaging. Diesel (the Maine Coon cat) is a delight; he reminds me of our 'big boy Timmy'. I plan to read a few more of these novels over time. They are a fine entertainment.

I hated the dialogue, the main character, Charlie, and most of all, his boarder, Justin. Justin was one of the most poorly written, unrealistic 18 year olds ever created. His dialogue ruined what could have been a pleasant diversion of a novel for me. Only giving it the second star because I cared enough about the mystery to finish the book
