Ms. Reichs novels read quite quickly and easily. I just need to remember I cannot start the novels when eating -- which is a problem because I tend to have most of my reading time over meals.

Reichs does use her novels to explain science, a quirk that I enjoy. I skip the stuff I know (I teach Carbon-14 dating to my students so I don't need to read her description). But the stuff I don't know is interesting to me. I hope it inspires more interest in science for the general public.

I enjoyed this novel. I don't know that I enjoyed it especially more or less than any others so far. A bit of the book did seem like the murder mystery bit was more of a side-plot to the Ryan/Brennan romance novel. I do read romance novels for a brain-less read every so often. My brain does …
