When a murder investigation reveals family secrets and exposes her to a shadowy network of evil, Kate accepts a mysterious author's offer to find answers, but time is running short as a force of super-predator killers is hot on their trail.

In the middle of a Chicago police investigation into a brutal murder, Kate Bishop discover she has the ability to identify killers just by looking into their eyes. Kate is tracked down by Jack Raines, a mysterious author with shadowy connections to those who share her ability. He tells Kate that her unique vision also makes her a target, and only he can help her. A force of super-predators will stop at nothing until Kate is dead. Is Jack really her salvation, or another killer coming to slaughter her?

Review of 'Nest' on 'Goodreads'

Unfortunately I had difficulty mustering up enough suspension of disbelief to enjoy this book. The author's rather long-winded explanations about for instance the evolution of a 'murder gene' was so unconvincing as to quite put me off the idea and a lot of the underlying philosophy also seemed to be a bit nutty right-wing (guns are good, death penalty, demonising Iran, etc).
