Great Godden

This book was the perfect Summer read. It gave me nostalgia for Summers of the past. I loved the writing & the vibe that came across. There were characters you liked, and characters you despised but you could recognise them all and kind of would have liked to be there as the Summer unfolded. I fell out of liking for the main character but she redeemed herself. It just felt perfectly written. So much so that I'm tempted to go back & read it again immediately. I'm not ready for it to end.
