5 stars

I will always stan for socially-awkward protagonists, and this is a very funny book when it mines Eleanor's POV for observations of other people, and very heartbreaking when it goes into her back story. The sweetness of it all is really helped by the fact that the only character who is NOT understanding, thoughtful, and kind (other than some minor workplace bullies who appear at the very beginning and never again), turns out to be entirely imaginary.
