Halfway through I thought to myself, "This would've been better in physical form." Not because the content is bad or something doesn't work for me, but it's one of the books I would've gone through to highlight some paragraphs to really take them in and remind myself, as well as looking up full quotes that are referenced.

I still enjoyed the book, but if I choose to read another one of his books, I will buy them as a paperback.

I also felt a lot of what I listened to was like.. "Well, duh." But it was still nice to hear and, there are indeed some suggestions within the book to get things going.

A fresh perspective on self-help, with recent research-backed discoveries included. What separates this from most self-improvement type books is actually its groundedness. There's no hot air or hyperbole, and the reader is treated like an adult. Stulberg is a high-end performance coach of some kind. He pulls from his own experience with clients, ancient wisdom, modern practitioners, and scientific studies. This was an enjoyable combination.

I like the increasing popularity of pattern recognition. This is a major skill for personal development and Stulberg treats it as such. Happiness, action, goals, exercise, and the process of change are covered as some foundational steps you might expect. What I was really pleased to read about was hits bits on humility, vulnerability, and community. Stulberg emphasizes repeatedly how important it is to acknowledge our humanness and our need to cooperate effectively. "Deep Community" got a well-deserved full chapter.
