More theoretical and less immediately usable than "Why won't you tell us the answers?" Strongly advocates students "doing history" instead of just consuming the historical construction of others. Book is aimed at a radical long term overhaul of secondary history education that focuses ramping up teacher preparation in history and focusing that training on preparing teachers to lead students in critical historical investigations.
