Perhaps as you’d expect from Peston, this is rather wordy. The plot was interesting enough, and I ploughed on through, but it wasn’t particularly memorable. Once again, the publisher revealed the twist in the front cover. Not sure why they insist on doing that!
A very good political thriller that takes place in the U.K. in 1997, just before an election that would bring the Labour in power, after almost 20 years of Tory governments. I enjoyed reading it from page one to the very last page.
