technicat reviewed Catch: a Novella by Mick Herron
short vintage Herron, think of it as a snack between Slough House novels
4 stars
A fun story, although a bit of a downer in the mode of Le Carre (but with more humor). It's short, barely longer than the accompanying preview of another novel (so this has the whiff of a promotional publication), but topical so it also has the whiff of the author getting something off his chest, as with Brexit in his other books. Stay with me here, Mick Herron is like the John Scalzi of spy novels.
