Maybe it's as much because I couldn't listen to it all at once as anything else (but I doubt it), but the book overall was disconnected and it seemed like the story in the end had nothing to do with the rest of the story, which in turn, had little to do with the given mystery. If that were more interested in the underlying politics, that I may have enjoyed it more, but it was supposed to be a mystery, not a political history fiction. In general, it was just not my style :-(. This is not to say that politics, in general, are a bad thing. It's just that it was not been well enough into the underlying mystery, which I'm still unsure of!
