I really enjoyed this book. There was suspense on at least two or three levels all the way through, and it was pretty much unpredictable. Of course, the "good guy" won (because that's what the "good guy" does), but it still kept you guessing! And it was clear from the start that there really were no clean lines and obvious definitions and clear distinctions of what a "good guy" really was.
I found early on that this is part of a series, and my initial thought was "how can there be any need for a series? The case is cut and dry and complete as it is!" By the end, I realize how wrong my initial feelings had been! The author made it quite clear that it's an ongoing situation with ongoing climaxes! The characters were well developed, and they really weren't cut out cardboard clichés! I might even look …
