What an amazing collection. A genre bending, grindhouse retrospective. These are stories of people who find themselves existing in circumstances they can't even dream of escaping, because they know escape isn't an option. They can only hope to survive - or, more accurately, endure - a moment, and then, having done so, endure the next. The coping mechanisms used arent often what might be called "healthy", but these characters don't have the luxury of choosing anything else. It is deeply empathetic and details the complex, diverse world we live in, encouraging us not to simply pity these characters, but to admire their strength.
