Marsha Woerner reviewed The panther by Nelson DeMille
Review of 'The panther' on 'Goodreads'

It was good, but I kept expecting there to be more to it – until the last fifth or so when there WAS! The first three quarters or so was sort of fun: I like the personality of the main character and his irreverent sense of humor, but all the fun that, it was sort of plodding: 1 foot in front of the other… But when John (the main character) started suspecting that the plot was both too complex and too easy, the reader realized that there was more to it than that! And the true feelings of unjustness were felt, and justified. And the suspense in that last quarter or fifth made the rest worth it and necessary.
