The Reversal is the 22nd novel by American author Michael Connelly and features the third major appearance of Los Angeles criminal defense attorney Michael "Mickey" Haller. Connelly introduced Haller in his bestselling 2005 novel The Lincoln Lawyer and then paired him with LAPD detective Harry Bosch, his half-brother, in 2008's The Brass Verdict. In 2009's 9 Dragons, Haller was a secondary character as Bosch's personal lawyer. The Reversal was published in the United States on October 5, 2010.
Another good one. Except for that Hong Kong one I haven't read a bad book in the Harry Bosch universe. This one has a nice back and forth between the lawyer and investigation side, with chapters switching between Haller's first person and Bosch's third.
Oh dear, a real disappointment. A clever idea but there came a point in this where its almost as if Connelly either was told to finish it, or he just decided he'd written enough. The denouement is rapid, wham, bam.... and that's it.
Having recently read another of his newer books (Nine Dragons) I have to say i don't like this process and if I was coming to him for the first time it would put me off reading any more.
