Probably not the book you think it is

The title is deceptive - look elsewhere to learn about the role of food in radical movements. This is basically just an update of Diet for a Small Planet. It offers solid information on how and why to embrace elements of veganism, but that's pretty much it.

For something more in line with what you may have been expecting, check out Nourishing Resistance: Stories of Food, Protest, and Mutual Aid edited by Wren Awry
