I'm a bit Malazan Empire fatigued, so the book did drag a bit. Still it has it's heroic emotional moments interspersed with humor and tragedies. A bit too little humor and too much tragedy for my current state of mind. Still a good book. But for now I'm done with the Malazan Empire... After 19 books I need a break.
