Review of 'Knights of the Black and White' on 'Goodreads'

I found this one heavy on the info-dumping exposition and a bit lighter on character development than I would have liked. In some places it read as if the characters were reciting pages from a research paper rather than having a conversation, interspersed with bits of fighting and plot. Not really up to [author: Jack Whyte]'s standards as demonstrated by his Camulod series, in my opinion, but it was a diverting read, and brought up some interesting thoughts about the Templars, which I intend to research (in a much more academic way than reading novels).
