Bittersweet story of a solitary monk in a Greek monastery, who comes to question his life, his devotion and his choices. Very nicely written with a warm, immediate and personal view of the monk's daily routine as he reflects his life through parallelisms with what's happening around him (no spoilers here!). The final, laconic chapter binds it all together making the story's questions broadly relevant.
