Review of 'Frost Like Night (Snow Like Ashes)' on 'Storygraph'

4 stars

After the previous book, this one flew by! I'm pretty happy with how it ended, even though <spoiler>as soon as Theron gave up the dagger, I knew that was how they were going to close the magic chasm, not by Meira sacrificing herself.</spoiler> There were also more than a few characters who felt like they died for dramatic effect purely because this was the last book, but my complaints end there. Having the finale resolve itself by the main character learning self-love and forgiveness as opposed to relying on the power of love or friendship or whatever was a refreshing change! Overall, the series took a lot of interesting turns that are fully explored by the end. A really satisfying read, and highly recommended!
