Informative and well told. Engel effectively details the tumultuous events in the Middle East, providing succinct historical context when necessary. He also frames the reporting with a look at his growing career and personal life. it could be said that he doesn't really dwell on the gore in this work, but perhaps he sacrificed that in favor of brevity.
