Wonderful biography of one of the most influential families in Europe. My only gripe with this book is the lack of graphical material supplementing the narration. Having a single 10-page insert with poorly printed renditions of old portraits and paintings hardly does the justice to the material. I with the was another edition with many more illustrations, paintings and maps accompanying almost every page.
