Review of 'The gathering storm' on 'Goodreads'

This story was better than I thought it would be. Part russian life in the 1800's with witch craft, vampires,zombies and wolves.... it was very good. The plot was well planned. The story and setting itself was riveting. I could imagine the glittering balls and fancy dresses. Katerina is a necromancer. She's a character who tries to find out where she belongs, whether to the Dark or Light side. In the end, she decides to fight for the light and protect russia. She also gains the affections of George, the tsars middle son. At first he disliked her becuz he thought that she was trying to cause harm to his family.
