Another find procedural set in Reykjavik, Iceland, once again proving that a low-profile homicide (no serial killers or gimmicks, no epic battles between good evil) can provide a gripping story simply by probing human experience. A doorman who plays Santa Claus for a hotel is found stabbed to death in his shabby basement room, apparently during a sex act. Erlender and his team set out to find out who he was, and when they sort that out it leads (with some twists and turns) to how he died. Excellent.
