Poignant episode in the ongoing saga of Learned Penric, his resident demon Desdemona and with touches of domestic bliss with their family. This short but perfectly formed tale gives more insights into the Five Gods and how their perform their self appointed duties to humans. It's not heavy but it's moving, especially for any parents reading it.
