I waited over one month for this book as I ordered it from Clarkesworld books signed. This is not a complaint about Clarkesworld, it is merely a statement on why I waited so long to read it. Apparently the publisher shipped late to Clarkesworld, who forward the signed copies onto Anne, who is busy with her day job and also has deadlines for new books. (Yay!) Then she shipped back to Neil at Clarkesworld and finally onto us poor saps listening to everyone else talking about these books.
I loved it! (Well, I haven't read one story, Zuulaman, but that's on my to-do list today.) As my BJT Omnibus and Trilogy books were all loaned out at the time of book release, I could not do a re-read of them before picking up this collection of stories.

I think the best thing would be to read Weaver of Dreams and Zuulaman from DMF, then Daughter and Heir, then The Prince of Ebon Rih (sigh, Lucivar), then Queen; and finally Kaeleer's Heart instead of doing a straight re-read. Then you are reading all the stories in storyline order. Of course, anybody who wants to be that specific about reading has probably already read DMF.
Weaver of Dreams was an interesting story. Very different from Anne's writing style, and while I can usually see all the connections and paths in a story, I feel like I missed some very specific ones for that particular story.
Prince of Ebon Rih All I can say is sigh! Lucivar was never my highest interest in the books, but this story sure did give me another view of him. I really loved reading about his and Marian's courtship. Very fun.
Kaeleer's Heart is the complete ending to the BJT, although Surreal's story in Treachery and Treason does take place after KH. This shows what happened to Jaenelle after her body recovers, and why she no longer wears the Ebony, but a new jewel called Twilight's Dawn. Very poignant.
All in all, I highly recommend this book, but you must read BJT first because there are too many spoilers of the other stories and you'll just be plain lost reading this collection if you don't.
This book is going to sit on my shelf in its plastic wrap and be re-read carefully. It is one book I will not even loan out at this point.
